“Learning From The Old Man and The Starfish…”
Dear friend,
There is a story that I heard long ago that I should tell you about, too.
It may help change a life.
At the first glimmer of light of dawn, a young man walked at the edge of the seashore. There had been a storm the night before, and he knew this would be a good morning to find seashells. With pants rolled up above his ankles, he walked along looking for what treasures he might find.
Then the young man looked up and could barely make out a figure of a very old man ahead of him. The young man watched as the old man bent down to pick up an object from the sand, and toss it into the surf. As he got closer, and the light of…

I feel, no matter how dire a situation, hope is the key.

We mustn’t have a victim attitude. NEVER! No matter what has happened to us, there are always new beginnings and new opportunities. Each one of us has positive attributes and we must not let our difficulties define us. They are merely challenges to overcome and you can develop strategies to compensate for these deficits. No matter how significant…

Our Deepest Fear

INSPIRE

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
